Pawtucket Arts Collaborative
Two of Emily's recent paintings are in the annual members show at the Pawtucket Arts Collaborative. The theme of the show is "Self - an inner journey." The show is up from June 27th to August 20th.
Emily Merchandise!
Six of Emily's paintings are now available as stamps! These are official USPS-approved postage available in different sizes and denominations. Go to the Zazzle site if you'd like to purchase them. Postcards are next!
More New Website Features
A new feature has been added - Page View and Blog View. In Page View, the paintings are arranged on a page, usually three across. This works well on computer screens set at a high resolution, but at lower resolutions, the page needs to be scrolled horizontally. Look for the robot icon
and click on it, and the paintings will be rearranged in a vertical row, as in a blog - no more horizontal scrolling! The thumbnails will work in either view. Click again to get back to the Page View.
This website has now been enabled for Cooliris. Cooliris is a very cool browser add-on (for IE, Firefox, and Safari) for viewing images. It can be downloaded for free here. After installation, your browser will sport a new toolbar button that can be clicked to launch the Cooliris viewer, which will work on the pages with the Cooliris badge
in the left sidebar.
And we'd like to remind you about our large image pop-ups. This feature applies to about three dozen images, mostly of the newer work. Beneath each of these images, after its title, there appears a symbol: . This symbol is a link (try it!) If you click on it, a new window will pop up, displaying a larger image of that painting. (You may recognize these larger images from Emily's painting blog.)
Emily's Painting Blog
There's another way to view Emily's paintings: Emily Lisker Paintings, the blog! As Emily finishes new paintings, they will be posted in the blog first, before being cataloged in this site. The blog postings include short commentary (by Bill) in the context of Emily's other paintings. Have a visit!
New Website!
A few years ago, Planet Emily was constructed as Emily's main website, and this portfolio site was quickly assembled later as an offshoot. The intention now is to present this site as Emily's main site, and to keep Planet Emily as an illustration/special project site. We hope you enjoy the new layout - comments are welcome!
